Look at Kids Company, millions went missing and they made threats of rioting if they didn't get funding. All those mothers outside their locked gates asking 'who's gunna look after me kids now innit'. I had one immediate thought... erm, you?

Then we had The British Heart Foundation knocking on the door last month, a very slick and skilful professional collector who almost invited herself in to get us to sign a direct debit!

the old man who lives apposite me has dementia so as neighbours we keep an eye on him.
a couple of months back there were two young man talking too him on his door step so I thought I would keep an eye on what was happening
I seen Cyril (the neighbour and just by chatting too him you can clearly see he`s not well)signing some thing so I thought I would go over and check what he was signing up for it, turns out it was a cancer charity and he was signing up too a 25 pound a month direct debit if he was of sound mind that would be his choice but he isn't so I spoke too him about it and he wasn't happy too pay that much so I insisted that they tore up the contract and too inform they`re office that this address was off limits :x the collectors apologised swearing blind that they didn't notice he had mental health issues and left.
it did make me wonder how many other older people with health problems or just want too get strangers off they`re door step just sign up too these charity collectors.

I worked with a lad years ago, at tea break he read a txt message & swore, I asked him what was up, the cancer charity he gave a monthly direct debit to, had just informed him the payments were going up from £7 a month to £10!! can you believe that! me & a dozen other tradesmen looked at one another shocked, being just a young lad I asked him did he want to pay it, he said no, all embarrassed in front of the men, I felt so sorry for his embarrassment, I took him aside & his phone from him & phoned his bank branch pretending to be him & told them any & all payments from his account to cancer research UK were to stop, he was very greatfull when I handed him his phone back, none too sharp the lad but we all thought that was a total P take!

Nowi may not have all the facts but, the cancer charities that touch our hearts every week with adverts of people who have lost loved ones etc.
Now i do give to the local cancer charity but i sometimes feel that my donation is in vain , let me explain.
We give money to the charities so that they can do research into finding cures for cancers yes.
The labs that do the work and find these cures then have to submit their findings to the bodies that control drugs and treatments,
i understand that we cant have un tested medicins on the market which may cause problems yes.
These companys that do all the testing if succesfull can then release the new drug onto the market yes.
But here is the problem , we fund the labs to find the cures and the pharmaceutical companys who have been handed this cure on a plate then put a price tag on this new drug
that the health centers cannot afford, do they pay the labs for their work, probably not as they are there to line their pockets.
Take the american drug company who bought a drug that gives relief to aids sufferers, this drug cost cents to produce but they banged the price up that high it became unafordable
to those that needed it , why ? because they could .
Money money money, thats all they care about.
Ok thats my threepence.

Oh it's just a little draughty, storm bob is just about making my wind charm flutter its merry tune.
I think Luddington should be ok but it is exposed on the open ground, pass through there reguarly on way to sunny Scunny.
