Well its wild outdoors this evening. I heard from my Welsh mate ;) that they have had rough weather over there on the West coast today, looks like Abby has made it up and over The Pennines. Its nights like this that I love being in the man cave with the propane heater on listening to the wing howl and the rain crash off the flat roof. Puts that smug warm grin on my ugly mug :D

Been a canny day weather wise, bit chillier than of late and a bit breezy at times but nice and sunny.

They reckon we'll fair better for rain fall over here on the East coast than our Western neighbors, 8 inches of rain forecast for Cumbria over the next week or so.

Nice weather if your a duck :? :? :?

That's because we in the east benefit (or not) from being in what they call the "rain shadow" (did you know?). The hill and mountain spine of England cause the westerly driven clouds to pile up on the other side and drop their load.

Yesterday was a canny day despite the strong south westerly "breeze". Got out and about on the farm and found some shelter in a permanent hide on top of the highest point of the farm. It's on a flightline but boy the pigeons were fair steaming across with the wind up their tail feathers. Lots of lead required on the shotgun to get the lead to make contact as they flew into a hail of No. 6 ;) The annoying thing was no pigeons came beating back up the flightline. Then their flight would have been so laboured that potting for the pot would have been a doddle :x
