I do enjoy making sawdust in the man cave, not quite as much as I used to, but it still gives me an outlet when needed.
I also follow Newcastle United quite keenly, which is bloody hard work these days! Guns knives and footy, I did enjoy sea angling, but Im limited to a bit of Makeral fishing with the spinner these days though.

Do a bit of shore fishing with SWMBO, since moving the man cave has been reduced in size so no more building motorcycles. Still ride one to work and back though

Re: Other interests
the outdoors, many moons ago was into climbing, rock and winter ice, alpine climbing too. now just the hill walking, parenthood and time played their part also my sons disability. mountain biking also. but as a comparison to shooting no where near as intense. when i climbed i lived. eat, sleep and something else too lived the life, shooting now is my major passion.
Re: Other interests
I've tried fishing for the first time in my 50 years. I bought 2 spinning rods in July for Max and I. We have tried numerous times to catch Mackerel or anything at all from the rocks at Coldingham Bay - Nothing! We have been there most weekends as our caravan is there for the season.
We've had more luck at Beadnell with quite a few Mackerel and a few small Pollock. We've just been given a beach caster and hopefully we'll give that a go soon - We've been "reliably informed" that our local beach is great for fishing during the winter.
As for following Newcastle - it's torture!!

I've had many pastimes and hobbies over the years. I decided decades ago that you only live once, so give it all a try. Over the years many of the things I've been interested in have fallen by the wayside, mainly due to dwindling funds and redundancy coming along at the wrong moment in time. A couple of things have lasted the test of time however. I have a Labrador and we spend many peaceful hours walking across the Somerset Levels and elsewhere. I enjoy a good read. Despite my ageing limbs, I still like to get out on the mountain bike, although the trips to the black runs at Coed Llandegla are few and far between nowadays!! I started to learn to play the electric guitar about 3 years ago, I'm fortunate enough to own an American Standard Fender Stratocaster - I bang out a bit of everything and like to think that I do OK, I like to see myself as 'The Levels Rock God' - my neighbors however think that I'm rubbish and are all trying to move!! I like to build/restore things: over the past 30 years I've built dozens of large scale radio controlled aircraft. As the years went by I progressed to restoring old classic WWII vehicles, I'm just coming to the end of a 3 year restoration of a 1942 Willy's Jeep. Linked to this, I have been collecting pre-1995 deactivated WWII weapons for many years and have an interesting collection, that includes Browning .30 Cals, Thompson SMG's, Bren guns, Sten guns, Lee Enfields, an MG42, an MP40 and many more. My latest project is to be a 6 foot long radio controlled model of a WWII Fairmile D motor torpedo boat, I reckon it's an 18 month project and will start building it in the New Year.

Beadnell beach is renowned in the North East for it's winter Cod fishing. I've not fished it myself but I know of lots of folk who have.
