Re: Justice.
Great news.
Why should a man of his age feel the need to do what he had to do. He had already had problems with scum stealing his diesel and the police taking over 12hrs to respond as it was a low priority crime?.
The scumbag should not have been on the farmers land in the 1st place, then he would not have been hurt. Simple's

Re: Justice.
It would have been a travesty if they had succeeded in prosecuting the farmer.

Lost Property Notice for Insurance Companies
As part of an insurance claim for lost property, you have asked your client to
report their item as lost property to the police and to provide your company
with a lost property reference number.
Hampshire Constabulary will only take lost reports for an item that meets our
criteria and business needs. The item in question is not something that we
would take a lost report for or issue a reference number to.
We do not investigate or validate claims of loss.
We have advised your customer/client to visit our website to download and
send this standard notice to you as confirmation of the above.
meets our criteria and business needs .. sighhhhhh

Re: Justice.
I hate to say this, but, a work phone isn't a personal catastrophe and it can be cancelled without loss to you.
Unfortunately we are victims of a bigger crime, that being the "Vote for lower taxes" scam.
Pay less tax, get less coppers, social services, bin emptying ..... the list goes on.

Re: Justice.
it may have been that the CPS had their own doubts about the legality of the shooting, when that happens it`s down to the courts to decide the rights or wrongs of a case, no help if your the one in the dock but that's how the british legal system works, only thing to see now is will plod allow him to keeps his guns, self defence (excepting NI) is no reason for having firearms but their use for that reason is not an absolute offence
