unfortunately i've let the AAOC slip recently , for example my promise of trying to get the old forum back, or at least as much as i could and getting the forum out there a bit more (advertising it in the mags etc) .

as some of you know my Mother is having to leave her house for reasons i wont go into and i have had to spend every spare moment going up and down to Cornwall to help her pack , sort and remove her things ready to move . this has stopped me from making good my promise of improving the AAOC for us all and for this i must apologise .

once Mum has moved and is settle i will make good my promise , i promise .

thank you for the apology which really was not needed. family comes first. the forum as it is i quite enjoy, if it were not for yourself, i would not be able to enjoy what we have. so in response, thank you for providing us all with this community.

Well - for what its worth - my 10 pence worth.

I used to own the second biggest darts forum in the world - it too was built using PHPBB. I had all sorts of extensions and additions, custom skins and the like. The trouble is with this software is that when it gets popular and up in the public eye, the code jockeys take it as a target and start hacking it. Mine was hacked beyond economic repair last year so I shut it down.

The airgunbbs is on Vbulletin - a much more robust and safe software solution. If you get the chance I would go for that.

I don't see that members are complaining with what we have, I wouldn't be so harsh on yourself.

I was grateful that someone was prepared to get the forum running again when the old one crashed.

Get your family sorted; then when the time is right, if it can be done, make the changes you had planned.

Take it easy and stop stressing.
