Hi all, I have just purchased a new s400. The bolt appears to move up and down far more freely than my last 400 and it lacks the positive click when you close it after inserting a pellet. Is this normal. Regards

hi mate. its a bit hard to tell if the bolt on your last gun was a bit to tight. or the bolt on your new gun is a bit to lose. but if the bolt is smooth. and you get no blow back from the bolt probe. then it should be fine. if the bolt has lots of play and can move around when cocked ( up and down side to side ) then you could have a problem.

Sounds ok to me as long as the bolt hold its position.

Do you mean if it holds in the upward position when pulled back to cock. Thanks

Check that it has it's o ring intact. You could put an extra one on there to snug things up a bit.
