old pellets

Sat Apr 25, 2015 10:21 am

I was given an unopened tin of AA Diablo Field .177 pellets from a family friend who also shoots. This tin is god knows how many years old without a doubt. The old pellets look in good condition but by comparison to a 'new' tin of the same AA pellets, they aren't quite as shiny. Now obviously I'm aware this is down to the effects of tarnishing with age, but would there be any real reason to give a second thought to feeding these old pellets to the TX200?

Just shoot them.

They could even be better than the newer ones ;)

I separate my pellets into bags of ten as its easier too load a magazine in the dark, there are pellets in different jacket pockets that have been around for years and I have no worries about shooting them.

I bought an HW80 10 years old, from an old guy that that hardly used it. He gave me 1/2 a tin of pellets that were about 6 years old, which i used with no problem.
So, like Ray says above, just shoot them :D
