FAC Airgun power, what's the point?

Watching the fieldsportschannel on youtube, the bloke refuses an 80yd shot, cos, as he sez, FAC power does not make the target larger! Good point mate, one I'd never considered before!
so I'm left wondering, what is the point of a +12ft llbs air rifle?

You only need to worry about trajectory if you have gravity

We have gravity here in Cambridge but I don't worry about it unless I drop something :D

FAC air will extend your effective range. That is the reason in the U.K. that people opt for it.

We are subject to a limit that has no basis (12FPE) and too much bull has built up around it.
"My rifle shoots better at 10.789FPE", well if it does, drop the power more and it will shoot better

You could argue that an improvement in stalking skills would alleviate the need for FAC air. There will still be scenario's where FAC power is required though.
