went in for some pellets, ended up shouldering Prosport, TX200 and HW100KT, all of which felt good, now got the bug to add another gun (already got S400F classic and HW97KT), have discounted the HW100 on price, so which of the other two would you recommend.

Whichever suits you best. Loads of threads on the pros and cons. Try repeated cocking on the Prosport, I found it a bit uncomfortable. I've got a TX

Going on looks alone there is nothing better than the Prosport. It also shoots very well.

For practicality I would opt for the TX200, a superb springer and it has less risk attached to it than the HC version. Also doesn't look too shabby

agreed, tried the PS & REALLY didn`t like the cocking action, also, if memory serves, the arm felt like it twisted as I cocked it,
if the TX came in new, at my £350 budget, no hesitation, but, a budget I had, & budget I stuck to, there are so many good quality rifles out there waay under the TX price, & I wanted a new rifle, not second hand, hence my LGU.

Absolutely.

If a TX200 goes over power it's just a Section 1 you have without a Licence.

If a TXHC goes over power it's a Section 5 and a prison sentence.(same with the PS)

As a novice would be grateful as to why the HC going over 12lbs would result in a prison sentence but the other one won't?

Many thanks

I think it's due to the length of the barrel. I'm sure someone else on here can add the detail.

I thought the ProSport was uncomfortable to cock until I took some fine wet 'n' dry paper to the sharp edges and corners of the cocking lever. Yes, it's a little unconventional, but once you've mastered the cocking cycle, you'll wonder what all of the fuss was about.
