I posted that POI does not change when aiming up or down, it wasn`t my thread but got me a shed load of replies, but I dug my heels in,
because- POI does not change aiming up or down!
now, before you all go off on one at what terry says, I posted on the old site `what distance do we honestly shoot at`
most replies (& me included) said 25-30m tops, ahem, an expert will now take over-

Thats interesting, I had always understood that gravity was a constant. I think its called the gravitational constant.

Im sure that's true, but for a good reason. He wont be bothered to review an airgun that isn't any good. I like his tips and tricks series quite a lot.

I assume the guys at Chairgun know what they are doing. The point of impact changes more than enough to miss. That is .22 14.30 grain at12ftb zero at 25 yds 35 degrees up. Check it. dave
Re: shooting UP or DOWN, expert backs me up!
POI = Point of impact.
POA = Point of aim.
Now if you get it right the POI will be the same whatever the angle
The POA however may just vary to get the POI.
I usually estimate the horizontal distance to the target (as gravity works on the horizontal) and that determines my POA. Makes no difference up or down.

NO it won`t, I wouldn`t dare point a gun at quarry unless I`m certain of my shot-I don`t (gasp) allow hold under/over for up or down,
THIS IS MY POINT -25m in my crosshairs up or down, it`s in the bag- I do it every week! I hit every time-thankyou Air Arms S200, Air Arms Diablo Fields & Nikko Stirling Mountmaster.
sheesh.
