I've got a .22 TDR that requires quite an effort to cock, it's an older model, I've tried pretty much everything to try and make it easier, but no success, I've even left it cocked for days, seemed better for the first few shots, then goes back to being hard to cock again, apart from that, its fine
check to see if both your probe and breech are straight Roger .

I've noticed that when shooting the TDR (bolt action) , the stock and action make me pull the bolt back at an angle , even when I use the thumb on the one side and 2 finger on the other side way to cock it (as you would a standard S410 bolt action).

had to return 2 customers guns that that happened to as well so its not just me :-(.

take care and speak soon ;) :D :D .

I found that a few cycles of cleaning the bolt exposed at the rear when cocked and very lightly greasing with Napier VP90 grease made the cocking action much smoother. The first two times I did it each made a noticeable difference.
