scope mounts

Fri Jun 12, 2020 5:38 pm

looking at a good quality set of scope mount's for an air arms s410 carbine, the scope which i will be fitting is a hawke eclipse 6-24x50 SF,it has a 30mm tube, which make & height would be the best choice,i'm getting the rifle in a week's time, looking forward to getting the scope mount's sorted before hand.

Have a look at the sportsmatch mount range. Not the cheapest but ideal mounts.
Personally I have fixed sportsmatch high mounts on my S410 carbine, carrying an MTV viper 6-24 x 56 scope. Quite a big scope.
I could have used medium mounts but the high mounts suited me better.
I've never tried low mounts on it.

Have a look at BKL mounts, single strap is all you need on a PCP
BKL 300 these are mediums, and will clear the magazine easily
Should be ok for 50mm objective on an S410, though why you need a 50mm is beyond me ?

I always used SportsMatch until I found these, much prefer the BKL with their central aligning, nice mounts

I agree with Roger about the 50mm objective.
I only use mine on my gun because I got it virtually free. However I mentioned it to highlight the mounts are quite caplable of being used with the bigger scopes.

I'm not knocking you for having them on your guns. There's nothing wrong with having 50mm objective scope on a PCP rifle- I have 1 on mine and it works for me.
However I think Roger was alluding to the fact that a PCP doesn't need a scope with a 50 mm objective lens on it. But like you say each to their own.
I hope you get sorted

Hi tapps, wasn't meaning to offend you, the standard A/A stock doesn't lend itself easily to 50mm scopes especially using high mounts, but if you can get a proper cheek weld to see down it, then fair play.
If not an adjustable cheek piece would be the way to go, which is what I had to do, and that was with a Mamba Lite 44mm obj , but as you say, each to their own, gun fit is everything . Rog

bloody hell , I'm in trouble then with a 4-16x56 scope or the 8-32x56 one :-) :-) :-) .

I'm sure both are on 30mm medium sportsmatch mounts (any mounts will do as long as they are not ebay shit for £5 ), I like the scope to be close to the barrel :-).

no offence taken,

i must have without looking 6 scopes in the cupboard, all with 50mm objective's, the hawke eclipse 6-24x50 is the one i will use.

if its no good i'll look for something with maybe a 44mm objective.
