Good evening all,

I have recently purchased an S400 Classic but am having trouble charging it. When I connect my
bottle (12L 300bar) and release the air (slowly), when the gauge gets to around 50 bar air is beginning to leak from the end of the adapter. For info I am using the new quick connect adapter. Is there a seal which will cause a back pressure and reject the air? If I open the bottle valve right up it will eventually fill but it won’t fill past 140 bar and I know this isn’t good practice to fill to quickly.

Any help would be appreciated.

Possibly 0-rings worn, damaged or contaminated. Also they need to be able to move slightly If they are to seal properly. Try cleaning and just a light coating of silicone oil or grease to lubricate... wipe off any surplus.

I have tried lubricating and replacing the seals but the issue is still occurring. Any other ideas?

The adaptor may not be a good fit. It should feel fairly tight when you slip it on and off. I have two adaptors and they are slightly different sizes. If I use them the wrong way round the loosest has a tendency to leak on one gun. The only thing I can suggest is thicker O-rings or try a different adaptor.
