Well went up to the club this morning and put 500 pellets through the TX200HC. After a dozen or so shots got a reasonable zero sorted at thirty yards before refining things and technique further.

I really like the .22 calibre. The rifle fires with a reassuring “thud” and a little bit of recoil, enough to let you know it’s a springer but nothing like a kicking mule. To the cheek, it feels perfect ... we’ll balanced and “snug”. I’m using JSB Exacts 5.52s they seem to be great for this rifle.

After an hour benchresting targets at 30 yards, tried some standing, but supported shots. Was really please that I hit every spinner from 15 to 45 yards, but beyond that it started to fall apart for me. My Bushnell 3-9 x 40 fixed focus was blurry any further out and anyhow I need more practice to shoot a springer farther accurately. Maybe that’s beyond my capable range anyway.

Had a moment when shots suddenly started going AWOL at 30 yards....couldn’t understand it. Then discovered the Q-Tec Mini moderator from Air Arms had somehow worked loose, so tightened it up and all was good again.

Overall, love this rifle and the simplicity in shooting it delivers. I am not as accurate with it as with my HW100KT but that’s hardly surprising. What I love about it is the just get-up-and-go ability to just shoot. Well done Air Arms 😎

What difference does the q-tec mini make? Are you able to compare the silenced HC with a full-length TX or a HW97k?

It is certainly quieter than with the simple plenum insert - but not a huge amount quieter really. Don’t have a full-length rifle so can’t comment there.

At my gun club I did shoot a full length tx in .177 and that was noticeable louder, a sharp crack, and also had more recoil of course. I think .22 is quieter and more forgiving on the recoil front.

Thanks. It was interest rather than any serious thoughts of getting one on my part. The full length .177 Mk3 is quieter than the same calibre HC and 97k. I'm happy with my Mk3. I'd like my .177 HC to be quieter but don't really want to compromise the length and balance... certainly not for £70 then find out it doesn't make much difference!
