Having had a bit of a disaster on a shoot last Friday (Seal Failure), I ended up chatting with a newfound friend at the range and I tried several of his rifles, so the day wasn't wasted
What I did learn from this experience is that the scope makes one hell of a difference, up until now I have been using an AGS 3-9x40 Mil-Dot scope which I bought with my AA S410 some years ago.
However, during my trialing several of John's rifles I stumbled across one with a Discovery Scope and boy what a difference and I was instantly sold, I just had to get one. After a bit of research, I decided on the 'VT-3 6-24X50 FFP Rifle Scope' and at £249 it was within my budget so buy it I did.
I received it today, express post from riflescopesuk and now it is fitted all ready for me to book some time on the 'Wind-Free Range' for zeroing. You'll notice that I had to modify the big focus wheel slightly to allow me room to insert and remove the magazine, but I'm cool with that.
