Hi All,
I'm new to this forum but have had my TX200 for 16 years and my S310 for 15 years.
I recently chrono'd my S310 and the power was down to under 10 fpe so for the first time since owning it I adjusted the power grub screw, very little happened.
The power remained flat and now I'm not confident or happy hunting with it so it'll now be over to the HW100.
I wondered if there were any suggestions as to what could have worn out and what I need to do to get it back up to about 11.5 fpe?
I thought maybe a seal or spring might need replacing.
Thanks
BM

Re: S310 Power Drop
Clean the hammer rail as that would be my first port of call.

Re: S310 Power Drop
I gave mine a full charge of air and it's now running at 11.4 fpe, which I would be happy with. I then tried other pellets and the first AA Field were the best performing, JSB RS 10.9.
I think I may have a slow air leek and as the old S310 doesn't have a pressure gauge I wasn't to know. Once it was filled it was right up there again. Consistency is amazing so if there is a leak it's very slow.
I've kept it connected to my air cylinder for now to see if it drops apart from the initial settling down upon charge.
I have the new style filler with screw off top and snap fitting as I had the barrel clamp changed for the S410 type, attached to the cylinder instead of through the stock.
An 'O' ring service is well within me no worries as long as I can find the right instructions.
Andy ideas where it might be from?

Re: S310 Power Drop
brush a little light oil around the cylinder ends and filler assy to check those ones, then close the breach bolt and elastic band a balloon around the barrel to check the firing valve..
To be honest I would just give it a complete reseal with a new firing valve for the sake of £15 and it will be as good as new
