Second hand S400f .177

Well I decided to buy a mint second hand S400f in .177 topped with a Hawke Panorama scope. I'm very pleased with it and even though it came with a terribly set up trigger.
There was such a long first stage and non existent second stage which was far too light. So I went to work with the 1.5mm allen key and 2.5mm to adjust trigger weight and now it's nearly as well set up as my Mpr trigger :) .
The accuracy wasn't up to standard so I gave the barrel an Autosol polish, the muck which came out including rust was terrible, now it's shiny and clean producing 1 hole groups at 30 yards using 4.53 Jsb Diabolo Exacts.
Just a quick question guys and girls, the barrel breech o ring is housed in the brass collar at the breech, not in the actual barrel like my Mpr. How would the breech o ring be changed? Does the brass breech part come out? Or is the o ring removed and replaced in it's location?
Many thanks
Richard

Pick the o’ring out with a pick and then replace using the same tooth pick. All can be done in location.
You will find it frustrating. Some use a stick down the barrel to ease the o’ring into place.

Thanks for the help Mr Fish. I don't need to replace it just yet, just gathering info for when that time comes. Don't think I'll replace it with a standard o ring, the upgraded light brown ones are meant to be better.

RichieRich612 - Could you please detail exactly how you did this? Just got same rifle and my trigger is not at all set up well....followed the great advice by Tenmeter Peter on here (and elswhere) by backing right off then tweaking 'em back up but still cannot get it right!

It's exactly as you describe....long first stage, hardly any existant second :(

Many thanks for any help

Bob

Thats how it’s designed to be.
Long (safe) first Stage. Sugarsnap second stage.

Shorten first stage with the front stop screw mentioned at 2:25 in the “inside” video - if yours has one.

“reset” video also shows how to make second stage heavy and draggy if that's what you want.
