Whats the roll pin for?

Guys does anyone know what the little roll pin on top of the breach block is for on my S410? is it a stop for something or should it not be sticking out?

Never worked it out, but i used it for resting the front mount against. So if for instance i took my scope off to work on the rifle, in theory, the zero shouldn't change when the scope is put back in the same place

Its to stop you putting the mount too far back and hindering the magazine.
