My wife used to like pink and purple. Seems to have gone off it.

Plastic granules from the Bay work very well and are a lot lighter than rice, but a lot more expensive too!

Cat litter is quite good - not too heavy and cheap by the large bag!

Helpful if you have cats too...

I used Plastic Pellets .. solid, don't break down with age and lighter than sand .. do a search on eBay for "plastic pellets", they are used in Autism Blankets and stuffed toys

Cat litter will get heavier with time as it's hygroscopic.

Cat litter isn’t hydroscopic, but it will absorb moisture on contact.
Anything hygroscopic will take the moisture from the surrounding air.
