Hear is the mod I've done to my mags, by sloping one side it stops the index post being moved more........ vicariously if you like, backwards and forwards, and this aides in a smoother loading and the post lasting around 4 to 5 times longer.

If you put a unmodified one beside the one you modified, we could see the difference between them.

It looks like you have just filed the trailing edge of each slot. I can't see how that affects the life of the spring given that the number of flexes and the magnitude of each deflection is unchanged. So I'd be interested to know what evidence you have for the spring lasting 4 to 5 times longer.

The weakness of the original spring is easily solved by installing the new indexing post.

Yes it is mate but im tight and didn't want to waste £19. And it's the simple law of physics of every action as a reaction, the leaf spring is gradually moved to the highest point on the mag rather than a sharp quick angel. Yes thats how sad i am but I've got nothing else to do with my life.

Hay John, don't sound so dejected, it's not all about airrifles, if you feel that you have problems, and you fancy sharing them, there's a lot of good people in the AAOC who I'm sure would be willing to listen, myself included. Rog
