OK if the port is only in the brass bit it’s an awful design in my opinion. I was never a fan of the “ferrule” design, but now I am actively hateful of it.

Yes pete i totally agree its an awful design but now I've modified the end of the bolt its perfect just like loading a pro sport or a tx now , its not pushing the pellet into far when loading its exactly the same as if you are hand loading..... the same as a pro sport or a tx, so not sure what you mean tonyc with additional pressure?

I take it the mpr as the transfer port in the actual barrel?

Yes but does the rifling start all the way through were the port is drilled, so the pellet is in the rifling? Are does the rifling start a bit further past the port, i.e a smooth bit then the barrel rifling starts right at the end of the bolt when fully engaged?

I can only see smooth just behind the o ring. The distance from end of loading probe to o ring mark is 10mm and I cant see that far in. The only way to check is to load then push out with a rod but I would never put a rod down my barrel and the rifle shoots perfectly so whatever grooves I have it’s fine.

I think aa design is shite... the head of the pellet will be in the start of the barrel when loaded but the rest just gets pushed down by pure force, not good in my opinion, im glad i modified mine now. Try whipping the barrel off and shine a torch down it after loading a pellet.
