NV add on

Wed Feb 20, 2019 5:20 am

Do any of the members here us a nv add on that could share some light on its advantages and disadvantages.
I like the idea of being able to keep all my rifles set up for day time with the benefit of nv if and when needed.

I have never used a night vision add on kit, but 1 of the guys who shoots with us has a "night master atom add on" and he swears by it. I don't know the price but he says it was around £500 and well worth the money.
Depending on how far out you are shooting he says he can easily define quarry at over 100yards?

I had a home brew add on n/v for a while ,it was one of terry 1001 on the airgun forum his design. it worked well for me cost about £150 too make. it depends what you want it for and what sort you want? mine used a screen great for ratting and rabbits. as the others have said there are others that cost a lot more and are dedicated scope/nv kits.if tis just for sub 12 then it doesn't need too be that expensive type as you can only shoot out too about 50mtrs and the cheaper ones will cover that distance well enough.

I would have thought that the distance would be down to the ir unit or is that not the case.

A couple of years ago a guy on here was building his own I think. Not seen him posting for a long while though
His username was "maddoghutty". You may get some info from his old posts.
