hey guys,
I resealed my whole gun 2 days ago and it's holding air. (woo hoo!)
The weather is bad here so I'm still waiting to get out and shoot.
Meanwhile, I damaged the barrel clamp (figure8 clamp). I was using it for extra leverage to get the end unscrewed from the tube. Bad move.
I have it straightened out enough to use it but it has tool marks all over it and I'd like to replace it.
I believe the original part is discontinued/ not available.
Do you know if the one for the S510 will fit?
thx,
Jim

It will fit, but your barrel will be seriously floated, so not really, but a barrel clamp shouldn't be that hard to find, sure Julian could help

Don't misunderstand me, Rowan make good stuff, but £27.95 for a barrel band? Bit excessive to my mind, Julian has them priced at £16.65 plus you will get discount as an AAOC member, chambers also do them for £17.33 it's only a barrel band FCS

I finally got around to doing some testing. I was a little disappointed with the results. Maybe you can help me figure this out.
My S410E is pretty old, but it hasn't been used much in the last 5 years or so.
I've always ran JSB Exact, Diablo Jumbos. 16 gr. It used to peak at a tad over 1000fps and I had a lot of shooting in the mid to high 900's.
Today, it peaked at 935 fps. It's been thoroughly cleaned and it doesn't leak.
It was a tad cold this morning, about 45 F. Maybe that had something to do with it?
I recorded all of my shots, the pressure gauge is hard to determine exact pressures so I just do my best. Here's the short version:
1st clip-. a little over 200 bar, 750 fps-768fps
2nd clip- 180 ish bar- 766 to 795 fps
3rd clip- 170 ish bar--816 to 867 fps
4th clip- 160 ish bar- 855 to 905 fps
5th clip - 155 ish bar- 894 to 931 fps
6th clip- 150 exactly - 935 at beginning and then started its decent, ending at 923 fps
7th clip- 145 ish bar - 922 to 894 fps
Ended with about 125 bar.

Do these numbers look weak to you?
My running theory for now it that the hammer isn't striking the valve as hard as it used to. I'm pretty sure the pressure used to be higher when it peaked.
thx,
Jim
