1st time for a long time

Sun Dec 16, 2018 2:35 pm

This morning I shot a rat in my garden, the 1st 1 for about 18 months. I fact it's the 1st time I have used the gun to shoot anything for about 18 months.
It's an AA s410, and for a long while I have only shot it once or twice a month, mainly to ensure the sights were still ok.
I can't tell you how much pleasure I got actually using the gun properly this morning and I am already thinking of having a walk out and bagging a couple of bunnies.
It's surprising how easy it is to make exscuses not to go shooting, when you lose the "will" for want of a better word, but when the bug returns it feels great just preparing and planning your next walk outandabout.
Long may this feeling continue.

To all those that have parked their guns up for a while.
Don't get rid of them, for the bug will return and then where will you be without your guns
Kevin

Slate mines are handy to keep dry over a ten day holiday, That and tumble driers.
I did a course in DVLA once. Lovely view of grey wet streets.
