S310 not holding air

Hello all, i have an s310 and while i was shooting targets the other day i cocked it and when i pulled bolt back it made a hiss and once i shot that round i pulled the bolt back again and it dumped all the air it had, ive connected bottle and when i try fill it dumps out of the barrel both ends if the bolt is back, i hear it could be the firing valve held open but why and can i solve this without replacing , regards james

WELcome the aaoc

Cock the rifle close the bolt and try filling it again,it will dump the at around the 50bar mark.

Thanks for your reply, ive tried cocking and closing the bolt but its still dumping streight out, i have tried it a few times so unsure what to do next? Regards

Ive sorted my problem, i wasnt cocking fully then replacing bolt,ive now done it correctly and it is filling up correctly so thankyou

Yea a little more effort is required right at the end of pull ...

Being new to AA rifles & having found out from here, re cocking to fill from empty, got me wondering.
What happens when the action is cocked that stops the air from escaping

It takes the hammer/ spring weight off the firing valve
