The walnut grain is quite nice, I intend to add a couple of coats of Danish oil....

You have some nice weather to do it.
I bet it’s quite dry and will soak it up easy.

I Danish oiled a small table today and hoped for a quick dry in the hot weather (in the shade under an awning). Finished up with goose bump rash all over it. You can have too warm a day!

Did you over load it. You must allow it to soak in and dry every time

It was a top dressing over damaged french polish. Cant soak in. Usually works if thinly applied, but being warm I thought I would save time by applying 2 rub coats in one day
The shellac was damaged because the table was near the window and the table lamp got welded to the surface!
