... your US and every other Air Arms rifle has a sweet spot usually a fair bit below the max cylinder pressure, a reg lets you fill up to that max pressure then gives you regulated shots all the way down to it dropping off the reg.

Well you wasted your money then, filling an unregged to around 170bar gives you a decent sweet spot down to 100ish which can be as consistent power as a regged gun, if you didn't want the added advantage of extra air fill and extra shots then there was no need to fit one. I wanted the added shot count to last me a session of practice and HFT competition.
You are contradicting yourself. Firstly, you have no idea what I wanted, the regged shots from 190 to 170 are "extra" over those in the sweet spot, and over 170 to 100 the gun is more consistent.

Second, you don't know what it has cost me.

And finally, if I were to pay someone to fit a Lane to a 410, I would be wasting my money. I see from another thread you have also done a few additional mods - fine if you are doing it yourself. If I was shooting HFT I wouldn't use a 410. For hunting I have a .177 carbine producing 150+ shots at 10.8 or 120+ at 11.5 ft lb. which is why I floated the idea of trading in the 410. It's really all down to the reason for wanting the gun.
