Hello, new to the owners club. S510 issue.

Good evening everyone. My s510, .22 is virtually brand new, I bought it last March (2017), but have put less than 400 pellets through since I bought it. I bought a Chrony F1 three days ago and gave the rifle a check. Its power output in fps is in the region of between 545 and 552. These figures giving approx 10.6 fpe when using AA Field 16 g pellets. It was a cold day when I checked it. Are these rifles prone to reduced output when the weather is cold, or is the rifle needing adjusted. Thoughts please.

Cold weather will make it drop in power a tiny bit. As it’s new it will need to have a few tins of pellets through it to bed in. The good news is that the power should go up with use.
They are usually set a little low to stop them going over the sub 12 and landing you in hot water

Hi Many thanks........I have an HW 100 , in .177. In cold weather if the rifle has been outside for a while it gives 740 fps (10.27). If the gun is taken and checked when at room temperature it gives 778 (11.35). Knew this output change was a problem with the HW, but was not sure about similar S510. The HW has had several thousand pellets through it though. I have to say that there is much less variance in fps of the s510 than the HW. Was surprised by this as the HW is regulated, while the S510 is not.
