Considering replacing the standard air stripper for a moderator but concerned about upsetting the balance as I'm used to it as it is.
I'd appreciate the views of anyone that's done it.

The standard stripper is pretty long can't see there being a lot of difference changing to a mod depending on the size of it. ..but you'll not know until you try it yourself, everyone's opinion will be different. My standard 400 I use for HFT always felt way too long and "wafty" with an air arms mod on it so fitted a much shorter stripper, saying that it still seemed not right and now I've converted it to a carbine length for much better balance.

Mod's are quite light so It won't effect balance too much, but it will catch a bit more wind when on aim than a stripper would due to its size.
I'm afraid there's only one way of finding out your preference.

Look at Huggett Moderators as they come in different lengths if your worried about weight and fit the MPR FT.
