Recently started wearing glasses (for reading only).
What do other people do? eg: do you wear yours when shooting / looking thru scope or not?
I have not yet tried my new glasses with any of my rifles / scopes, but I will obviously try shooting both with and without my glasses to see which is best, just thought I'd also see what others do...

When I first got my glasses for reading I kept taking them on and off. It was a right pain in the arris.
I now have varifocals which I’m trying to keep on.
Early days yet

I have always shot with varifocals on. With the head in place I assume I am always looking thru the same bit of "vari", so although its all clear and in focus to me, it may not be to some one else

Problem with reading glasses is you can see the pellets and the breech but can't see the rabbit! I use bifocals for shooting despite Specsavers always trying to sell me varifocals. They make me dizzy anyway. In that awkward in-between age around 50 I used half moon readers.
Focussing a scope will be possible with or without lenses but the range finding readout may be different if that is what you use the scope for.

I would imagine the less amount of lenses you look through the better .. I wear glasses but I lift them when looking down the scope

I wear glasses but the other way round, I'm short sighted.
I leave them on, adjust the ocular lens to suit and keep both eyes open

Up until now I have worn varifocals for shooting but find it is some times difficult to get the correct sight picture. I have recently orders a pair of bifocals that will have a larger portion of the lens dedicated to distance to see if it makes any difference. I'll let you know how I get on.

I have to wear reading glasses as required, but have no problems shooting my scoped TX or ProSport without them. I do however have a problem shooting pistols with open/iron sights. I need to wear the specs to get the sights in focus, but then the target is out of focus. I realise, that even with 50/50, something will be blurred, but readers just makes it worse. I'm currently trying an "EyePal" and it seems to be a good compromise. The EyePal system consists of a small plastic patch, with a small hole in it, that adheres to your safety glasses and creates an extended "depth of field". Just like a small aperture in photography.

For pistol you need distance prescription +0.5 dioptres or +0.75 at most. Getting Specsavers to make them is the problem as you need the ophthalmologist to make a note on the script. Getting +0.5 ready readers is almost impossible.
EDIT:
The target on 10m and 25m is supposed to be out of focus by the way.
