S200 dilemma

Sat May 20, 2017 9:03 am

Ok Chaps it's dilemma time. I need to sell one of my rifles to fund the purchase of an ultimate sporter and my S200 is the only rifle I rarely use. Problem is it's a mk2 with a target stock and has a Huma reg and XTX quickfill fitted. I've even still got the original diopeter set up. Got it out yesterday and did a few targets at 30 metres and its sooo accurate. Do I put it back in the cupboard just in case I start using it more or do I let someone else get pleasure from it by selling it on.

Apparently "I can't just keep spending more money on rifles when I can only shoot one at a time" so something has to go.

Any suggestions short of illegal acts gratefully received.

Mmmmm :o , I don't know what you're sugesting Mark? But having thought about your "apparent" suggestion I think that could work out even more expensive in the long run. Besides the children seem to like her.

Me, I would keep it, I have an S200 set up same as yours Huma and target stock, the ultimate ain't any more accurate than an S200, but it is heavier, and the S200 is all you need for wandering around shooting vermin, your call! You will miss it when it's gone  Rog

Thanks Rog, that's my concern. Will I regret selling it and just have to go out and buy another. plus full power S200T's don't seem to be that common. I could just keep it for now and see but I've spent so much on this hobby I really could do with releasing some funds for future purchases. I just have an itch to try the ultimate sporter due to its adjustability and side lever. I can't sell the 410 carbine I got from Granville as its a peach, plus I recently bought a falcon light hunter which is also a super light weight rifle and extremely good looking. Maybe sell some of the other clutter I have first, children, wife etc. I'll keep the dog though.

It is a sin to sell a good S200. Bad things happen when people do it. Dont !!!

Now that I know it's sinful Raj I shan't even consider it again. Will put it back safely in the cupboard and start looking for that Rowan trigger and bolt for it again. May as well spend some more money on it if I'm going to keep it. Plus it is nice to use it occasionally to show up my friends who have very fancy/expensive kitted out HW100s.

Women only NEED one pair of shoes, one handbag, one coat. Neither do they need a washing machine, tumble drier or dishwasher if they pull their fingers out and get off their backsides. Point that out tactfully and I'm sure harmony will be restored and you'll keep the S200 with no further problems.

Thanks for your comments Timmytree, it's very brave of you to suggest that from four counties away. By the way it's coats she's addicted to, 17 at the last count.
