i agree with you on the tx200hc but i would say the tx200 mk2 for the shorter stroke as standard rifle,
also i know its not a air arms but for the money the walther lgu is up there with the tx200hc in terms of all of the above as a springer.

tx200 .22 1998 mk2

If one is starting out shooting Air rifles My advice and choice would be without doubt the TX200HC the reason why? is simple new Air-gunners need to start shooting with a Quality spring rifle with been a spring rifle it will teach the shooter too master recoil, trigger control, breathing and hold. spring rifles forgive nothing even the lovely TX200. It will learn you too shoot and with been so accurate reward you as you get better and more skilled, the tx200 is cheap to maintain and all you need is a tin of pellets some targets and your out shooting for hours, the TX200 spring rifle will keep the shooter interested as he/she will have too try hard to hit the target and they will be rewarded for there efforts. groups get smaller ranges get further skill's get better, they will learn holdover, hold-under, holding off for wind, and how to use mil dots.

The S410 is good however the design although very good in it's day is getting dated now!, and as mentioned in other comments on this thread has a skinny barrel the trigger in my opinion is better on the TX200, the TX200 can hold it's own against the s410 in accuracy and the indexing magazine spring can break off.

The s200 is also good and I do like the s200, however it is indeed made by CZ for Air arms so really it's not a true Air Arms product although the s200 now with magazine system is very light weight and very accurate and perfect field rifle.

The s510 is just a s410 with a side lever thrown on, personally I would rather have the HW,100 better magazine system and bigger shot count and comes with modulator and 2x14 shot mags and walnut out of the box choice of stock removable cylinder.

So, the TX200HC has to be the best Air Arms rifle for the money in regards too value, accuracy, maintenance and build Quality, built like a tank, refined as a Swiss watch.

that`s the answer I was looking for, totally wrong (of course) the S200 is the correct answer- cos that`s the one I`ve got!

Hello,

New to the forum so thanks for having me.

I'm looking at getting a second hand Pro sport or SE90 (as I shot one years ago) any advice?

Obviously they are different guns but for field work where would you put your money?
It was like that when I found it...

I can only recomend the Air Arms TX200 MKIII
Having owned this gun for over a year now it has proven to be the most reliable and accurate gun I own.
I adjusted the trigger to about 1lb. Added a great target scope and shot over 1500 pellets with no issues at all.
The under lever is great and loading took a little getting used to.
This is one fantastic gun anyone would be proud to own.
I upgraded to the Walnut Stock and am very pleased with the fish scale checkering and craftsmanship.

I'll gladly email any pictures of gun,

My TX200 MKIII .177 walnut stock
This gun has preformed flawless for the year I've owned it,
I have been competition shooting at a indoor league where I learned how to master this gun.
Shilloutte and bullseye target.

Hi all,

Looks like i went for the wrong springer!!! :D

Owned a TX200HC some years ago, and whilst i found it a good gun, i always got the HW97k out first. (Yeah, sorry :( )

Now only yesterday i picked up my new ProSport Walnut in .177, so hopefully the next week or two will see some pellets thru it.

I'll be sure to post my findings - good AND bad.

Transit van. The AA have sworn by them for years. Never see them broken down.
