Side focus wheel which allows magazine on S510

I really want to use my side focus wheel (Hawke Airmax 30 SF 4-16x50) on my new AA S510, but with the wheel installed the 10-shot magazine cannot be inserted or removed.
My Hawke and Air Arms dealer tells me that another wheel is unavailable. (I'm reluctant to start cutting the original wheel and would like another one to do this with.)
If I have to, I guess I would cut out a section of the wheel, but I'd much prefer not having to do that. Are there any other solutions? Rowan doesn't seem to offer a wheel for this scope.
Any suggestions?

The smaller 2 inch wheel works (Target Wheel Type 2 (50mm) ) - this is a Sidewinder, 30mm tube on high Sportsmatch mounts

I tried hacking a quarter out of the large wheel and it still did
NOT {edit as appraently the word NOT is important to this post ... sorry .. ooops} allow the magazine to be inserted

Please confirm what you just said... or is it a typo? With hacking a quarter out of the large wheel, it WORKED, or did NOT work?

Thank you for confirming (and correcting your post).
Please tell me, BEFORE you cut your wheel, did you believe that it would work? I'm asking because when I look at my wheel and magazine loading port, I DO believe it would work. But there must be a gotcha that I'm overlooking. Judging from the photo you posted, it looks as if your focus wheel is slightly forward of the loading port (maybe it's just the angle of the photo)... is that the way you had it with the larger wheel? The way my scope is installed (so that I have a comfortable eye relief) the focus wheel is right above the loading port. So it looks to me that if I cut out a section of the 4"/100mm wheel it SHOULD work. If the wheel is forward (or backward) from the loading port, then perhaps a cut wheel would not work.
And thanks to the wonders of the Internet, I've ordered a second wheel, so if I mess this one up, I'd still have one to use (if I sell the scope or install on a different gun).
Cheers!

Hopefully these links work = they are to my Flickr page as they are videos
Standard 4″ Side Wheel as supplied .. one complete section cut out as a test - Mag just does not go in no matter which angle I tried

Well, I cut my side focus wheel this morning, and.... It works PERFECTLY!!!! I'm real happy!

The magazine can easily be inserted/removed and I've still got the large wheel! (I hated the stock small one!)

So the Airmax Hawke wheel is very different to a sidewinder wheel it seems

I guess it is.
But
http://www.hawkeoptics.com/side-wheels.html shows that #63011 (which is like mine) and #63012 are
both compatible with Sidewinder ED, Airmax 30 SF, Endurance 30 SF and Endurance SF. It looks like yours must be a Sidewinder 30 SF (#63001) and that is indeed different.
Cheers!
