hi all. i am after some advice on which regulator to get for my s200, I have narrowed it down to huma reg or or robert lane (tench/tweaky) which one do you think is the best of these two? the only concern I had with the huma was you had to leave a small gap when fitting on to the cylinder would this not close tight when fitting on to air rifle.

raj is the man too help you out he is the s200 expert I`ve no doubt he will respond too this post once he notices it.

Not a s200 but i got a huma reg for my r10 from xtx easy to fit and very consistent. I think a few on here have fitted the rob lane regs to s200s . atb andy.

Anthony, You don't need to worry about budging the setting on the Huma regged S200. There will usually be over 100 bar of axial force holding it in place. The only time you could screw / unscrew it is when there is nil pressure in the tank. I have fitted Huma regs and have an Altaros 2nd generation reg on my S200 that works on exactly the same principle. Will not move, mate.

hi raj thanks for that info would not thought of that in a million years. had seen the altaros but the reviews were not to good but this might have been a mk1.so with your vast knowledge of air arms which one would you advice me to get,this would be a diy project.thanks

Nothing against the Altaros but build quality on the Huma is equally good; Darrin at XTX is a cracking bloke but so is Ondrej Plachy but if you want the deal to be contained in the UK, I would say Huma.

Rob Lane will need a hole drilling in your air cylinder Nowt wrong with that either. Just that you cant return to original state if you dont want the reg in the tank.

thanks raj. did you put a grove along the thread of the huma? I will be fitting it on to my t200 .177 I also have a s200 .22 would I be able to transfer the cylinder between each rifle if needed.

No I did not put a groove in and still worked.
Re. transferring between the calibers, it should work. Each action will obviously be set differently as the .22 is a more efficient pellet. In other words, if you were swapping barrels it wouldn't work because what was legal for .177 would make it FAC for .22 barrel.
Different action + barrel combinations set up individually but running off the same cylinder should work fine.
You will get better shot count off the .22.
