not a £1000 bullpup interesting .

Wed Dec 28, 2016 12:24 am

Well, as you all have seen and most likely be aware of there has been a considerable amount of Bullpups flooding the Airgun market over the last 3, years, with Daystate offerings, FX, and now the Air Arms Galahad.

I mean do Bullpups need to be that expensive or is it just an excuse to push up the price just because a bullpup is in a different configuration than standard rifle size and length, These bullpups most likely use the same parts like barrel etc, although, I do understand that money for new design layout and new tooling costs and stock shape etc, this involves money input for the manufacture. However, at over a £1000 for a rifle that most likely uses normal parts as from a standard rifle PCP setup that cost £600 from the same manufacturer.

However, while reading up on Most things regarding Bullpups out of curiosity. I came across this Bullpup in links and videos bellow and found it to be Quite interesting due to price and accuracy, although I have never used or tested this rifle so can not give my own views on it.
The only things I can see that is cost cutting would be a few plastic parts but remember this bullpup retails for £389 in back and walnut £399, this is indeed considerably cheaper than say £1400 like some Bullpups now on the market.

Yes, pretty impressive, but still can't see me buying one, unless I did a lot of shooting out of the car, will have to wait and see if anybody on here buys one and let's us know what they think of it. Cheers Rog

Interesting to see no shift with a plastic scope riser. I wonder what it's like in the summer.

They seem to get quite a lot of stick on the Bullpup forum. Don't think I will be rushing to buy one, shame, they look ok, and the price is good, but if they ain't accurate, they ain't no good to anyone. Rog

Friend of a club member turned up with one at the practice range a month or two back..... spent most of the time messing with the magazine that kept jamming. ;)

I must add I'm not that happy about the scope riser mounting point as noted,,, it is plastic. Although, so is the action block and scope mounting point on the new HW,110

The magazine looks like an FX mag used some of their rifles. Was not keen on the plastic wind back magazines they fiddly and annoying to load and can be pricey.

I tried one soon after they came out. Indoors, using JSB 8.4's and a Sightron SIII scope, the groups off the rest were around 30 mm at 25 yards and the size of your fist at 45 yards (couldn't be bothered to measure them). Maybe just me, or just that particular gun, but I instantly lost interest.
