It can be made to fit. The barrels are thicker which has less flex. Gnome of the woods had his done many moons ago.
The barrels are very accurate.

If there is any more information on this conversion, I would be very interested, the skinny barrels on the S400 series are there only weak point, I know the MPR had this, I take it that the barrel would have to be turned down to fit bolt housing, what else would be involved. Just had a quick look round other forums, and see that this subject has been covered many times before, will stick with my S200 and not bother. Rog

Wierd. My S200 had a skinny barrel and my S400 MPR has the FT 14mm one.

I thought the S200, EV2 and the MPR all use the CZ/AA S200 barrel. Rog

EDIT: CORRECTION This is my S300 (not S200!)

Looks to me like 12mm at the most. I remember thinking it was very thin at the time. I checked my MPR 10m and it is 14mm. I wrote to Air Arms asking why it was blued and not Nickel Plated and they said they use the blue MPR FT barrel for all MPRs in 2016.

Yep Zed made me a completely custom AA back in the day, still wins trophies every year at the AAOC meet! the only time I use it!
There is quite a bit of work involved, especially as the S200 has the seal on the probe and not in the barrel if memory serves. I had rowan screw cut it and make me a figure of 8 support as well with a thin o-ring that just touches the barrel. The barrel is thick but has to be cut down quite thin to go into the S400 block, I probably do not need the figure of 8 but I feel better protected from knocks with it there.
