Introduction

Fri Dec 09, 2016 12:27 am

Hi there.

Been lurking a few weeks, thought I better introduce myself.

Met a great gent called Ray at the boinger bash few weeks back.

I'm a bit of a fraud, as I don't yet own a air arms rifle!

I have a few springers, my best being a weihrach 97kt blackline. But I fired the s410 tdr and fell in love!

Started saving, but it will be a few more months as the wife doesn't think it's as essential as I do!!!

Fairly new to airguns, and lots to learn.

Wasn't going to bunny bash, but have been given permission to shoot them on my local golf course. After a lot of soul searching, and because I will eat them I've decided to go for it.

Im about to get insurance, for obvious reasons. I've also a few buddies that would like to join me and the club has agreed. Thought better to shoot in pairs, safety in numbers maybe?

Anyways, I'm Rick.

Hi everyone, an thanks for taking time to read this.

Welcome to the AAOC Rick. I hope the wire holding your exhaust has been replaced    .
The bash seems so long ago :(
Great that you finally got some permission. Golf courses are great but be careful as the general public think they are places to exercise their dogs. You will also have walkers and small game poachers.

Hi Ray, yep shes fixed. Fifth exhaust system in five years. Bloody speed bumps....

Thanks for the welcome.

Off to walk the course this weekend and meet the green keeper. Very excited.

Spent last night getting my 97 and my Hatsan 60 scoped as best as I can.

Been shooting that little gamo rifle I bought at the bash a lot too. Genuinely impressed with it. The scope is a bit rubbish, but I'm putting the pellets thru the same hole at 15m every time.

Only men truly understand electricity, plumbing and the need for more rifles.

Have you put the Gamo through a chrono as i wonder what they're kicking out. With one hole groups at that distance it may be a good ratter 8-)

The gamo says about six according to the literature. It seems about right. Brought it for my son, but he's not interested so I get to play! For a plastic cheap"toy" I'm most impressed.

Definitely getting a lot of practice before I go bashing, bit concerned as the guy who's arranged it and wants to shoot with me has no experience and I don't think he realises how hard it is! I'm trying to educate him diplomatically!

Golf course have asked if we can shoot the moles too....
