S200 full problems

Sun Nov 20, 2016 6:22 pm

Just a quick one folks. I'm sure this will be a common problem and there'll hopefully be a straight forward answer.
When I try to fill my son's s200 from a dive bottle no air comes through the fill adapter but if I use a stirrup pump it works perfectly fine. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing here please?
Thanks in advance.

This might sound daft, but is the dive bottle empty. Rog

No the dive bottle fills my other rifles fine. It's as if the fill adaptor is stuck shut but it works with a stirrup pump...

Have to say I am not sure what the problem is, can't see how a pump will do it and a dive bottle won't, can you take fitting off pump and attach to dive bottle and see if it works then. Rog

Airtabs !!! The best kept secret in the Airgunning world 8-) 8-) 8-)

A breakthrough in chemical engineering ! They are quite small - the size of a Viagra ... give or take. You open up the cylinder, take one out of its airtight packaging and drop one in. Quickly close the cylinder. In about 3 minutes, it reacts with the air and starts giving out a gas ... the same as air. This gas keeps getting released but has nowhere to go. Soon you are up to about 180 bar in a S200 / 170 bar in a S400 carbine / 160 bar in a S400 Classic. Perfect for days out shootng where you dont want to carry a pump or a bottle. There is also a built in mild lubricant that keeps the firing valve and breech seal lubricated. Dont forget to cock the rifle or you will let it all escape

Now for the big down side :( ........ they are made in the USA - Army issue. Used for inflating dinghies and life rafts for the M O D. Not freely available here but Ebosawn, with his Army connections, gets them now and again. They go as soon as they arrive and are like rocking horse poo. Ask nicely ... offer some fresh young sheep and who knows .... and you might get some :)

As for Granville ... He is just jealous because they ran out before he could get any.
