Hmmm, so why did Walther copy the TX200 layout instead of coming up with their own product layout and design... says it all,,, the TX is the original and the best.

--- I think you`ll find AA copied HW77`s blueprint there mate

The after sales value and desire to one will be more for the TX200.

opinion not fact Zippy

The TX200 has been known to achieve 40,000 shots with little more than re- lube and spring and pistol seal change.... WOW!

The LGU hasn`t had time to prove it`s worth

The LGU is cheaper because of the stock and the trigger. The LGU is poor man's TX200.

and the TX is a light, cheap version of an HW77-- who cares, they both work

The stock on LGU looks like a piece of pallet driftwood that showed up on a beach.

mine doesn`t

The trigger may as well be made of chocolate.

as above!!

bottom line Zipster, SOME AA owners are using LGU parts to upgrade their AA springers, now that`s a fact![/quote]

Ages since we had a good wind up on here... LGU vs TX .177 vs .22 Soz mate, I will behave. Peace and respect...

It was Brian's ( eboswan ) Idea he told me to wind you up mate....

So that's it!, shows over?, great now what do I do with all this popcorn (and pretzels in case Andreas came back)? ;)

Having voted "sausage side" to the OP's question I should perhaps mention that at least the Prosport is actually manufactured by Air Arms, whereas the LGU, whilst branded Walther and allegedly made in Germany is actually manufactured by a company perhaps better known for its importation of things fabricated in China!.

Hi guys,
concluding I just will state that both of these AGs are more or less refined copies of the HW77.
And I let some pictures speak.
And oh-YES, I love them both.

OK, I kinda wondered if Zippy was lining me up for a sucker punch, (he who laughs last Ebo me ole son, he who laughs last & you`re on my list you bugger) but to get back on topic, the LGU fell right into my (maximum) budget of 350, I wanted a fixed barrel having been brought up on a (very-1963!!) old Airsporter, I`d have taken the TX but for the price, the LGU is very heavy, but it is beautifully constructed & there are already online tips for improvements, if I used my guns more, I`d look at that cocking lever attachment part & have a billet one made for sure, sure it`s a long rifle, but mine is longer cos I added a Whisper silencer, doesn`t bother me- the length, but weight is definitely an issue, I called it as I see it, if Duke can afford the AA, then shoulder them both, but please come back on & tell us all which you chose & why.
