Hi Buddies,,

Today I bought a six month old TX200HC .22 I was told it had fired 100 shots.LOL
It certainly looked like it hadn't fired more anyway. I did ask the original owner if he had adjusted the trigger at all he said not.
I have had TX before with stiff to operate safety buttons but was usually the result of my fiddling with the trigger.
When I arrived home I checked it over and replaced stock screws with stainless the same size,the original were quite loose.
Anyway after fitting mount and scope I found cocking although smooth and light, the last end of the stroke movement to pop out the safety out required extra force. I'm not the slightest bit concerned from a safety point of view I just want to find out if there is an easy way to adjust the button so it works smoothly. I wondered if the stock screws may have become loose after the extra force required to cock. Does trigger adjustment have any effect on the safety button stiffness. The first trigger stage does feel slightly heavier than on my .177 which works perfectly with a an almost floppy trigger LOL

I would strip the trigger (whilst your in there polish the sear mating surfaces) degrease then relube with some light oil.
The CD trigger is prone to this, a shame because otherwise when sorted it is excellent.
To be fair to AA they have to put sticky lube all over the internals as they have no control over transport and storage conditions once things leave the factory, sticky lube residues are better than rust / corrosion.
It needs a good, firm tugg at the end of cocking stroke, my HC is the same, if I cock it like my full length comp TX's then 50% of the time the safety will not set.

In the end I drove the 25 miles over to Thorney to see Ray who is an official V-Mach and AA service chappy formerly worked at Venom with Steve Popes Dad, so he's old like me then.
He said he would fix the button and service the gun and make it a Venom Glide whatever that means.

Monday he received it picking it up tomorrow. He has made a Laser Glide.177 97K and installed my V-Mach 97K .22 for me.
Lovely chap he's on the V-Mach website. He has all the AA specialist's tools and is still a RFD.
Works with Gary Cane too with Daystate and other specialist kit.
