What was the reason for the change from clear plastic to yellow on the mags, and other than that,are they the same ?

Yellow makes them a bit easier to see when you put them down, otherwise they are the same dimensions.

Im not sure if this problem still occurs but some of the early yellow mags were prone too warping.

The s310 came out in1997 so it could be 19 years old i doubt it though

As long as it works well it doesn't matter

Clear after market ones where available for a short time about 5 years ago.
