Hi,
Image recently picked up a second hand HFT500 which is fantastic, I do have an issue with air leaking though, the rifle loses pressure overnight, does anyone have a strip down guide? I am thinking about getting a seal kit and servicing it, any advice would be appreciated.

Hi,
A balloon placed over the end of the barrel (bolt closed) will show that its the exhaust valve that is at fault. If not that then the usual suspects are the O-rings on the rifles pressure gauge, the gauge itself (try a drop of light oil on the little vent hole to check) or the filling valve not sealing properly due to crud ingress during filling possibly. In my experience the large O-rings that seal both end of the cylinder don't leak if after repeated strip downs. Once ALL air is gone from the cylinder the filling valve can be tackled yourself. Any leaks elsewhere will involve the removal of anti-tamper before you can get to those bits. Faults are usually pretty easily and cheaply fixed once the dreaded A/T has gone

.
Hope this is of some use.
Mark

I've just purchased an MTC Viper Connect 3-12 x 32 for my AA HFT500. I need some advise about which scope mounts to use.It looks like the MTC Connect Mount will bridge across the loading breach, which I'm not keen on. It looks like the only other way is to have 2 Mounts close together on the main tube section. Any advice would be much appreciated.
