Yes they do fit.
What's stopping yours from sitting right.

Seems like the trigger gaurd isn't sitting correctly. The guy i got it off said he didn't use a trigger guard when using his mpr. My 400 needs the guard fitted because it has the trigger pull weight spring running through the guard.

The stock that you have has trigger guard as part of woodwork yes/no? If yes take the trigger guard off your rifle, pull weight adjuster isn't affected as not part of trigger guard, should fit now ok. Just a thought how old is your S400 older ones have a different trigger guard and chassis ie guard does hold trigger weight spring, if you have older one you would need to change a few bits to sort it, hope this helps. Hi mate, yeah you're pretty much bang m! My 400 does have the trigger guard with the pull weight spring running through it so if i were to remove the trigger guard how would this affect the trigger? What would i need to do when you say change a few bits?
Thanks for your help!

I think you would have to change the trigger chassis to the new type, you would only need to buy the chassis and cover plate, I reckon you could salvage everything else off the old chassis to fit the new one, and of course you wouldn't need the trigger guard, sounds like a project. Rog

I wouldn't worry about the trigger they are pretty easy to sort, but you would be stripping the gun down, if you fill in your location, there might be a member near to you who knows what they are doing and could help you, myself I am in Hampton Middlesex and I could sort it if you are near. Rog. Just had a look at Julian's Site S313 chassis £25.37 S318 cover plate £12.69 and 2 screws for cover plate 44p each, your call .Only other option I can think of is to resell the stock. Rog

Many thanks for all the info mate. Im gonna have a think for a day or so then decide if im gonna keep it or not. The parts wouldn't cost much but its extra cost that i didn't think id need to spend. I honestly thought i could just drop my action straight in without any bother. the guy i got it off said he can't refund me as he's spent it so im kinda stuck with it for the time being!

Thanks
