that modification would make any rifle fitted with it VERY range specific & not something I`d recommend unless your missus is gonna shoot at that one distance only, ...

That's true. I guess if the disability was severe enough and someone wanted to do FT you could have distance/turret tables for L/R as well as vertical. (if that's still how it's done) bit of a pain tho if it's just dominance. That's probably why it's only been done for 10m.

Just to continue with this theme here are some pics of my latest gadget from MEC. I know it only fits Anschutz type match sights (it won't even fit the standard Air Arms sight which has a non-standard thread) but it wouldn't take much ingenuity to make a periscope to fit a standard telescopic sight if the need was great enough. The secret and technically difficult part is making a universal joint which allows the unit to be tilted, so that the mirror closest to the rifle looks straight through the existing sight line.
My "cellophane eye" has got to the stage that I find it difficult to make out the black aiming mark on the target now. NHS policy is if you can read the "Eye Clinic" sign on the door you don't need an operation, and if the other eye is perfect you can f*** off.
This MEC Swap was expensive but less than a private consultation for a second opinion!
