I've just acquired one today!...it's a .177, but I've noted pellets for sale in 4.5mm and 4.51mm, which should I go for?

Oh, and any pellet recommendations?...I was thinking AA Diablo Field for starters.

Cheers

All you can do is try them both, lead the barrel up with a few hundred pellets and see which calibre groups best.
AA field is a good start.

AADF 4.52 these are the ones I buy for my club, and I use them in all the club S400s, and my own pcps aswell brilliant pellets. Rog

4.50, 4.51, 4.52 ? Each barrel is slightly different depending on the tools used to make them. You won't really know until you've tried them all. I only ever use Air Arms or JSB though.

I have always used 4.52 AA Field Diabolo in my S510 superlite however keep meaning to try the other size .. yesterday while digging around on ebay I found a supplier (sundonmodelshop) who will ship in quantities of 50, 100 or multiple tins of 500 (2.99 for 50 : 3.99 for 100 : 11.49 for tin of 500 etc) then there is www.pelletperfect.co.uk who ship in quantities of 25 (GBP 1.15) either "from the tin" or "lubbed up" :o

Thanks for the replies chaps :)

I've ordered a tin of (4.52) 500 AA Diablo Field to start with; the rifle if near new anyway, so thought a few of these would be a good start.

Cheers

yup thats Baughurst (although its Hampshire by about 100 yds) .. so just around the corner from you <waves> small world

FYI KC Sports over in Wokingham stocks AA pellets (although not a massive stock - so I often call before dropping in) - GBP 10.99 per tin of 500. I mention it as its not much of a detour if you happen to be driving out of London and you fancy a back roads drive home to break up the M4

If you can buy "outers" of 10 tins to share at a club then I can recommend Uttings. Our club buys from them. With postage they would work out just over £9 for 4.51s
Next day delivery.
