Hi, im getting an s400 that was regulated by robert lane a few months ago &.was wondering what is the recommended fill pressure? Ive read you can apparently fill to 232bar but that sounds a lot to me! Also i know the cylinder pressure doesn't show on the gauge but the regulator pressure does but will that pressure show a drop if you shoot to around 90bar? Thanks for any help

Hi,
I think most people fill to something like 200 bar. I believe that the cylinders are designed to deform at about 250 bar so 232 is stressing the cylinder possibly.
The gauge (positioned after the reg) will show the regulator's set pressure up till the point that the pressure in the cylinder equals the reg pressure then the gauge will show a drop off after that. I.e if the reg was set to say 100 bar when you see the gauge drop to less than this you are running out of air rapidly. You could fit one of
these and as it is positioned before the regulator will show cylinder pressure as normal.

Got my regulated s400 today & the paper work that came with it says the regulated pressure is 130. I don't know if this should be that high or not but would be interested to hear what effect it will have compared to a gun thats regulated at say 90-100. Thanks

Most air cylinders on a gun are tested to 450 bar and regulated guns are safe to fill to 232 bar, get the benefit of more shots by filling to that, no problem.
