The Joys of spring.

Hi all,

Took a trip to the farm on Saturday to try and sort out some of the myxi rabbits that have been seen. I was creeping up to one of the warrens and spotted something rabbit like through the stingers. Looking through the scope I could just make out what I thought a rabbits chest breathing in and out but still could not see the head. I crept nearer and nearer until I could see the whole animal. The photo below was taken on my mobile from a distance of between 4 and 5 feet (yes feet!). The animal, about the size of a rabbit, didn't have a clue we were there. In fact we had to make a bit of a racket to wake him (that was videoed after this shot).

Went back to the farm on Monday afternoon and the little bugger, this time with a sibling, was back there again in exactly the same place. He needs to wise up as not all farmers will enjoy their presence.

Hi Raj,

I'm just fine mostly but parents have been a bit iffy lately. Think they are through the various operations etc now so hopefully some normality will be resumed to our lives. Was seriously hoping to come to the meet but it clashed with the invite to visit my parents in their rented holiday boathouse on the Norfolk broads for a few days. Dad had only just come out of hospital and as he was 'still going on bl00dy holiday' I thought it might be good to help with the boating outing bits. Besides as I lived in Norfolk until I was 18 the lure to revisit my spiritual home was too strong. Anyway keep the invite open and I'll pop round sometime. I'll even bring some ale(s) from my shooting partners pub with me. This year his pub (The Broomfield Tavern) was nominated Coventry's Pub of the year :D :D :D
