I wondered if the scuffing I get when loading pellets into my AA S400F is normal
I roll the pellets in, and over the past couple of weeks (since I bought it new) there are lots of scuff marks appearing
Do I have to put up with it or can the black coating be renewed or cleaned somehow
Scuffing
Re: Scuffing
Not sure if I like the looks of that, just had a quick look at one of mine, and there are no scuff marks and that's at least 6 years old, and got a 14 year old one out and nothing on that either, is that a .22 Rog

Unless it's going to rust at some time, does not really bother me
I suppose if I mention it to the retailer they will tell me it's normal wear and tear

Re: Scuffing
Are you getting much play on the pellet probe when it's nearly upto the breech.

Not really
It's just when I look at second hand pics of the gun, they all look solid paint jobs around the pellet loading area (the flat bit not the hollowed out bit)
I presume they are made of steel
