Here is an image of my latest addition Air Arms S410 177 with thumb hole stock matches great too my other rifle Air Arms S400 177 needs some work doing to the stock so I am going to strip it and re stain it at some point shortly and wouldn't mind the metal work to be re-blued so tell me what you think guys.

Thx for the comments guys and your defiantly write on what you said on what I was going after I think I looked out with this rifle for £300 even though it needs a little tidy up. I have ordered some items of eBay to do the stock and got some gun blue to do the metal work has it has abit of pitting in places but not that bad so might leave that for now. Just get on with the stock and give it a new stain and polish. I will add some before and after pictures so you guys can see how I get on along the process. That would be a good page to add on the site fella's a project page so people can see there work progress and give little tutorials anyway thx for the comments.✌️

'Yes same here I have bought some g96 bluing creme but I am glad I have just read the website page guid lines has it says for cold bluing just do parts like pitting in certain places not any good for doing whole barrel or cylinder. I am really glad I found that page has I was ready to start using different sand papers to get the metal work right before applying has another video suggested. That would of been a big mistake. So any body thinking of cold bluing it\'s really only for marks or pitting not to do a full barrel or cylinder with so be careful. I am going to start on the stock and metal work has soon has I get my orders delivered so will post some before, during, and after pictures so you guys know how I\'m getting on and thx for your comments much appreciated guys.

If you want your cylinder and barrel re blued then contact Collin Malloy , he is an absolute master at blueing and is well known for it, I think he does a cylinder and barrel for about £30-40 plus postage costs. If you pm me I can give you his number.

He used to work at Manchester air guns but I believe he now works full time at a metal plating/finishing company.

I've used the G96 gel twice now. First on my Air Arms S200, and then on my 37 year old Crosman 1377 last weekend. For me the results were fine. At 37 years old I had decided to self service my crosman and blue it all at the same time. It had never had a service in all those years, and finally gave up the ghost last week, when one of the seals blew. It's cost me around £30 to get all the parts together when you include postage, but its now like new again. It's recommended to lightly oil the finish when the blue is finished to prevent fingerprinting, and it was suggested to use synthetic spray, which I now used when my rifles get a little drizzle on them while out. I have posted a photo of my entire air pistol collection, minus one that I regretted getting rid of, my Walther LP. The picture shows my crosman how it used to look, and how it looks now. It had some rust pitting, and I went the whole hog and sanded it down, buffing it up to quite a nice chrome finish. As soon as I applied the paste/gel, it reacted to the metal right away and when a shining black. You then let it stand until it goes gray in colour, followed by a wipe down with a wet cloth to get rid of the residue, then dry and spray with synthetic oil. If you aren't happy with the first result, just coat is again with the gel. It's like magic. For around £10 you should have enough to do three or four rifle barrels and cylinders.
