A member posted on the old forum, a budget break barrel would be a great addition to the AA range & at a time when budget guns are really showing up the big names cost wise at least, myself, I wanted a fixed barrel & at a budget of £300 or so new, AA were not in the running!
thankyou Walther.
but, I'll not denounce Air Arms, they do their thing with a quality assurance others can only aspire to, I'd buy their new Bullpup if I could afford it, but I can't, or an FX, or any other gun north of 500 smackeroonies, so I ask members,
what would be the criterea of the rifle you'd trade your current one in for & how much would you/could you pay for it?
Me first then,
an S200 that can't be multi loaded, & with a safety catch, regulated & like others, I love the individuality of the 2 piece stock, & for anyone who hasn't shouldered it, the sheer comfort once in hand, the grip & forestock are a real revelation in comfort if not looks, & the cost of course, that gun even now, at that price deserves a medal!

Hey Sy ... You know me !!!
Even if i found her wet, cold, hungry and in bad condition on a street corner in a dodgy part of town, I would still take an S200 home and nurse her back to health any day ... or night.

Re: your dream AA rifle would be-what?
I'm less fussed about new guns (Bullpups) and more that AA keep the quality up on the internals etc of the existing ones.
A tuner friend of my has done a detailed study on various internal parts of the S410 that have been changed - and not for the better. I'm not a tuner so cannot remember all the specifics but I think he said a white nylon transfer or exhaust port part (make sense?) being way better than the black ones they now use. This is a cost cutting exercise and nothing else.
Apologies if I've misunderstood the exact part in the gun, but basically one of the internals was made from hard wearing white nylon, and now they are not and the new versions are less consistent over time and wear out quicker.

I must be living the dream, as i have my TDR. She is light, easy to handle and very accurate.
And best of all very discreet when in her carry case.
Ahh love

I think my air arms dream rifle would be S510 limited edition FAC if I had my licence, or S510 ultimate sporter, or the new Galahad thats air arms first production bullpup,so would like to try one of those out to see if they hold there own against fx and other bullpup rifles.
